How's he so big???
Alright so it's been a long time. Michael is starting to string together short sentences and communicating concepts that make me double-take all the time. Lately he won't stop stripping himself naked during nap/bedtime...using his wet diapers as pillows :(
Here's some updates Rachel recorded over the past couple months:
2/7/17
Michael was eating dinner and started asking about Allison and Grandma Carol. We asked him if he had fun with them this weekend. He said yeah. Then I think he asked about seeing them again (can't remember what words he was using). I told him then he'd have to tell them to come over again soon. I said he'd have to give them a letter telling then to come visit him. And Michael said "A"? After looking at him blankly for a second we realized he was suggesting the letter "A". So Grandma and Allison, Michael sends you the letter A. ;)

Michael said "lullaby". It took us a bit to figure out what he was saying because it was disjointed: "lulla---bye". This might have been one of the longest complete words (most syllables) he's said to date.

Michael saw "The Muppets Christmas Carol" for the first time today. It was adorable. I was surprised how engaged he was with it, since he'd had limited attention span for "How The Grinch Stole Christmas' and none for "A Charlie Brown Christmas". He was very concerned when Gonzo fell off the carriage ("sad","fall", "neigh!"...He also called the carriage a "boat"), was sad when Scrooge threw the crumpled wreath at the caroling urchin (we established that Scrooge wasn't very nice), had fun pointing out the animals and crazy Muppets, and liked Kermit's singing. He enjoyed the music and danced along to many of the songs (bopping away on the couch). He really liked the song "Bless us all" sung by Tiny Tim, and he not only danced with the music but even sang along. :D. After the line "Let us always love each other" he sang "other...other...", And sang "iiiight" after "Let us hear the voice of reason, singing in the night". When the sing finished he asked for "hing? (Sing)...More?". He thought the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come was a little scary, pointed out the "tunnel" the ghost takes Scrooge through, and learned a new word: spooky. At the end of the movie he danced around to the credits. :). He's also learned the word "movie". All in all a Christmas viewing success, I'd say. :D
